Over the summer of last year I went through a huge alt. country phase. It's a good thing that I didn't know about the band The Court and Spark because I most likely would only have exacerbated that alt-country obsession.
The Court and Spark are:
M.C. Taylor - vocals, guitar
Scott Hirsch - guitar, back-up vocals
James Kim - drums
Tom Heyman - pedal steel
Dan Carr - bass
For a more complete biography of the band, visit here at their website.
These songs are all extremely well-done, and I don't want to go further into detail, so just listen for yourself:
The Court and Spark - Fireworks (Highly recommended)
The Court and Spark - Suffolk Down Upon the Night
The Court and Spark - For the Good Times
The Court and Spark - All Day Long
You can order their albums at their Absolutely Kosher page or at Amazon here.
